See Some Cool Mountain Bikes as Waterbury Hosts Mountain Bike Festival
Waterbury, Vermont - July 10, 2009
Mountain bikers from all over Vermont and surrounding states will descend on Waterbury this weekend.
They're coming for the second annual Vermont Mountain Bike Festival. The Vermont Mountain Biking Association hosts the event as a way to showcase a variety of trails in the central part of the state, as well as to raise awareness for its mission to create a system of interconnected trails across Vermont. The festival includes skills clinics, demo bikes, food, music and group rides.
"There's going to be rides for all levels. We've got ride leaders that are going to bring folks out to the different trail systems and we're going to make sure that we cater for all different rider levels," said Patrick Kell of the Vermont Mountain Bike Association. "So we're going to have kids group rides, we're going to have women's group rides, intermediate rides, and longer advanced rides."

Tour of Arkansas - NE
USA, May 15-18, 2008Chadwick takes two on key climb
By Kirsten Robbins in Russellville, Arkansas
Glen Chadwick (Team Type 1) continued his strong form with a second consecutive stage at the Tour of Arkansas today. This time the New Zealander took a gratifying victory atop the queen stage's Mount Nebo ahead of Predrag Prokic (Toshiba-Santo) and Michael Lang (Jelly Belly).
Chadwick furthered his overall lead in the Tour with an additional five seconds in time bonuses picked up on the line.
"It was a lot harder than I thought it would be," said Chadwick of Mount Nebo's 18 percent average gradient and more than 20 switchbacks. "I thought it was just a couple of switch back followed by some flatter bits and then a couple more switch backs. But it was just switchback after switchback. It was a nasty little climb and I know what to expect next time I'm here that's for sure."
Team Type 1 began the 160 kilometre stage with the intention of controlling the race from start-to-finish, to bring race leader Chadwick into Mount Nebo with fresh legs. But the responsibility transferred over to Toshiba-Santo after it failed to take part in an early break of 12 riders who rode away over Mount Petite Jean, the first of the three climbs.

be difficult but we hope to be able to move up one more place on GC after tomorrow's
stage," he said.
